Why ReBIT?

Here's why our team loves working at ReBIT!

“What is the key indicator of a good job?
The answer is really simple: ‘if you feel more enthusiastic about Mondays than Fridays, then you are at the right place.’ This is the feeling I get while working at ReBIT. In the security industry, where change is the only constant, my job demands that I stay on top of cutting edge security solutions, learn about new technologies and the latest cyber threats in banking and non-banking financial services. This role is not just about working on the tasks assigned, but also demands that we introduce industry best-practices and carry out continuous Research and Innovation. Besides technology, audits and inspection, I also manage to spend my time towards personal growth, go gymming and also get to plan vacations. With such opportunities for personal and professional growth, I am absolutely happy at ReBIT!”

Harshada Desai - Muthe

Manager, IT General Controls

“The first day I walked into ReBIT I knew I am here to stay. Little did I know that my stay will be filled with high impact work, tremendous learning opportunities and seniors who always instil confidence. What would you do when your company believes in you tremendously…it gives you a new high to perform your best.Right from selection of office space, to what goes inside it, to getting to work with the CEO and Directors directly, to drafting policies and frameworks, my opinion matters in ReBIT and that makes it the best place for a steep career graph…I am home.”

Nimisha

Manager, Finance

"The decision to join ReBIT after spending a decade and a half in IT Consultancy brought a lot of fresh perspective to my life. Professionally, it has provided me with an opportunity to not only work for the prestigious central bank of the country but also be involved in the roadmap definition with many small steps leading to the Digital India vision. On a personal note, it has given me the opportunity to 'officially' settle down with my family in Mumbai with local travels to customer (RBI) location, a distant dream in the hectic work at my previous organizations."

Trayambkeshwar Vatsa

AVP, Enterprise Architecture

“What is absolutely exciting about my role in ReBIT is the immense opportunity to collaborate, create, learn and make an impact. The access to industry stalwarts, experts in academia and the apex regulatory authorities is a privilege in itself. The experience of being immersed in an ambitious start-up - donning various hats, learning new things and building a new brand, day by day, is truly enriching. I am grateful to be part of a close-knit team and an open, autonomous culture.”

Giving Back to the Community: ReBIT-ians Step Forward

March 2018

Sarvesh Bedekar, Associate Manager - Full Stack Developer, Research and Innovation team, mentored a team of six engineering students from his alma matter, Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, at the ‘Smart India Hackathon 2018’ (Hyderabad Centre). They emerged as one of the ‘Grand Finale’ winners and took home the gold medal and the prestigious trophy! The non-stop, 36 hour national level event was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Human Resources ministry. The theme was creation of innovative technical solutions for different ministries, states and sectors. Sarvesh was chosen by his college team to mentor them. He helped the students organize scrums, follow Continious Improvement/ Continuous Development (CI/CD) processes and use the Intranet network to host local development infrastructure. Their winning idea was to automate the current manual information collection process for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). They developed a dynamic forms platform with drag and drop form creation options, used optical character recognition technologies to digitize the existing forms and Blockchain to store immutable and auditable records. The technology stack employed by the team includes Angular, NodeJs, MongoDb, Redis and Hyperledger blockchain. The team immensely benefited from Sarvesh’s professional expertise and industry experience. Kudos to Sarvesh and his mentees for a stellar performance!

Another of our colleagues Anthony Vinose, Associate Manager - Information Technology, Corporate Center, recently mentored more than 60 engineering and technology students at the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, Patna to help them qualify for ‘WorldSkills 2019’ (an Olympic equivalent for geeks), to be held in Kazan, Russia. The students were mentored on technical skills, time management and equipped to meet the grueling demands of WorldSkills. He also guided the students on a few core technical concepts like RADIUS server, CA server, Postfix and Dovecot. In 2015, Anthony was selected among 15,000 contestants through a rigorous screening process to represent India at WorldSkills - Sao Paulo, Brazil. He recalls his experience of competing in the four day event wherein the contestants were expected to establish Windows platform, Linux platform and network security on a high-end server using virtualization technology. This exercise requires a time span of 4-5 months in the market place and it is a rarity to find such a skillset (extensive knowledge on all the three platforms). The Indian government also encourages our national representatives by introducing them to OEMs of different software companies to help them in turn beef up their knowledge on the different platforms and compete in the international event. ReBIT is proud of Anthony’s volunteering and community contribution.

We fully support our team members’ volunteering efforts and contributing back to the community.
