The Internship Program at Reserve Bank Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. (ReBIT) provides an opportunity to young individuals to expose themselves to cutting edge research and technologies in cybersecurity and banking. The program is best suited for individuals who are in the second last or last year of their engineering, graduation or master’s program and are interested in pursuing a career in Cyber Security or Information Technology within the banking and financial services sector. The interns will be paid a fixed stipend during the tenure of their internship.

Role Description

The Intern will get an opportunity to work on issues relevant to the Indian Banking sector, with guidance from experts and professionals in ReBIT. They will:

  • Assist and collaborate with ReBIT teams on research, industry or technical projects.

  • Assist in code development, compiling reports and documents and other artefacts as may be pertinent to the project.

  • Be assigned to assist in writing research papers, case studies and reports of good quality, based on performance and project requirement.

  • Indian students from recognized universities in India or abroad who have secured at least 75% marks in the last held degree or pursing their engineering degrees and have maintained a GPA of 3.00/4 or above :

    1. who have completed education under 10+2+3 pattern of education, or are in the final year of the same


    2. who are pursuing 3rd or subsequent year of in the Engineering stream in the 10+2+4 pattern of education, OR a 10+2+5 integrated degree

  • Possessing minimum qualifications as above shall not guarantee Internship in ReBIT. Candidates who have exceptional understanding and/or working knowledge of the role for which the internship is advertised will also be considered, even if they do not meet the percentage criteria or have a higher degree instead of the qualification required for the position.

  • The internship will be for a period of 2 (two) months extendable up to another 6 (six) months based on the requirements of the team and the performance of the intern. Exceptional performers might be considered for further extension (total internship period may be for a maximum period of two years with a provision for renewal every six months).

  • The intern should necessarily complete the 2 months internship period after selection and if he/she decides to terminate the same, a notice period of at least one week has to be served. If under any circumstances, the intern is unable to serve the notice period he/she would have to pay an amount equivalent to one week’s stipend.

  • The internship is based at Mumbai, India. (Candidates and selected interns are expected to arrange their own accommodation, travel and other personal expenses.)

  • The company reserves the right to terminate the internship with a notice period of one week, and may choose not to provide any reasoning for the same.

Mode of Application
  • Selections will be done twice a year depending on ReBIT’s requirements in a manner that the internship commences from 1st of January or 1st of July of the year concerned. Application window will remain open during first five months of the preceding half-year. To illustrate, applications for internships commencing from 1st of January onwards will be accepted during July-November of the previous year and will be examined in December of the previous year. Likewise, applications for internship commencing from 1st of July onwards will be accepted during January-May and will be examined in June of the same year.

  • The applications of the candidates are valid only for the applied batch (i.e. 1st January / 1st July) and the same will not be considered for the subsequent batch.

  • Candidates who were not selected earlier, if interested, are requested to apply afresh when the application window for the next intended batch commences.

  • Candidate will be shortlisted based on their CV, References and Statement of Purpose and will be called for personal interview. Interested candidates are encouraged to fill the ReBIT internship application form, and upload their CV, References and Statement of Purpose on the application form page.

  • Incomplete applications and applications without CV, References and/or Statement of Purpose are liable to be rejected.

  • References may be obtained from the faculty members of the related colleges/institutions of the respective applicants.


Method of Selection

Candidate will be shortlisted by the Reserve Bank Information Technology Private Limited based on their CV, References and Statement of Purpose and will be called for panel interview, and as deemed necessary, technical tests, programming rounds and related assessments.

Facilities Provided
  • ReBIT will provide office space, internet connectivity and other support facilities to the interns.

  • ReBIT will pay a stipend of INR 15,000/- per month which would be remitted online into the designated accounts as provided by the interns.

  • Interns will be required to make their own arrangements with respect to travel and accommodation.

Non-disclosure and Confidentiality Agreement

Selected interns are required to sign an agreement of a non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement with ReBIT in the format provided by the company, before the commencement of the internship.

No Right of Appointment

The interns shall have no right / claim for an appointment in the Reserve Bank of India or any of its subsidiary by virtue of their internship.


All internships will be based out of the ReBIT office located at 502, Building No 1 Mindspace Juinagar, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra 400706.
