Reporting Structure

Reports to Senior Vice President, IT Project Management Vertical

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Management

Master Degree in Engineering/Management Preferred

Experience (years):

Minimum of 12+ years of total experience

Minimum of 5+ years in Application Development and/or Application Support Leadership Roles

Exposure to CMMi, ITIL and Agile standard concepts, practices, and procedures is a must

 

Industry:

Preferably from a Technology, ITES, Shared Services or Banking organization

Responsibilities

  • Establish policies, procedures, standards, frameworks, tools, practices and templates for project management and related processes
  • Rich experience in core PM processes (Managing Risks and Issues, Change Management, Planning and Dependency Management etc.)
  • Collaborate with Transition Management Office (TMO) and Vendor Management Office (VMO)
  • Play a proactive role in the promotion of project management methods and standards, implementation of good project management practice and the monitoring of projects
  • Act as a reference point for PMO queries and an advocate for best practices in project management
  • Coordinate project governance meetings, project health checks, phase gate reviews, post project reviews and project level workshops
  • Share lessons learned, continuous improvements and best practices across projects, building relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Assist PMO with establishing relevant stakeholder management plan and implementation of the communication framework
  • Produce periodic and ad-hoc reports for all stakeholders including leadership to monitor and ensure that projects comply with the governance framework
  • Act as the custodian and guardian of ReBIT IT Projects Dashboard with all master copies of relevant project artifacts
  • Drive organization change management, training and learning initiatives
  • Ensure relevant forecasts and utilization for cost and resource management
  • Engage in ongoing PMO operational issues as needed
  • Monitor action plans for identified issues to ensure timeliness of resolution
  • Leverage Project Management Tools (MS Project, PPM Studio, Clarity, Plan View etc.) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Visio) proficiently for PMO
  • Provide oversight and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Provide timely, candid and constructive performance feedback to direct reports
  • Develop direct reports to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance their career growth
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by Senior/Executive Management

Certifications

  • PMP or PgMP or PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is a must
  • ITIL and Agile Certifications are preferred
  • Domain Specific Certifications are a plus
