  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology
  • Master’s Degree in Technology/Management preferred

Track Record

  • Minimum 20+ years of relevant industry experience, in software engineering projects
  • Mandatory experience of 8+ years in leadership position for IT delivery functions across multiple technology platforms
  • Significant exposure to Enterprise Architecture, IT Infrastructure, CMMI, ITIL, Agile standard concepts, practices and procedures
  • Exposure to public procurement with keen understanding of applicable frameworks like vigilance and financial prudence
  • Persuasive, passionate and hands-on leader with high integrity, strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills


Preferably from a Technology, ITES, Shared Services or Banking/Financial Services organization


The mandate of the Project Management (PM) Vertical is to advise, implement and manage internal or system-wide IT projects (both existing & new) of the Reserve Bank as mutually decided between the Reserve Bank of India and the IT subsidiary, ReBIT. The PM Vertical Head is a Key Management Person (KMP) of ReBIT and is expected to take up the below responsibilities:


  • Complete ownership of the Project Management (PM) Vertical which includes accountability for mission-critical RBI IT Projects and Programs across the various RBI Departments
  • Lead the Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO), Centralised Procurement Office (CPO) and ReBIT’s internal IT Infrastructure function
  • Providing PM Vertical’s operational updates to the ReBIT Board on a regular basis during the Board Meetings
  • Contributing as part of the Core Management Team of ReBIT towards ReBIT’s policies and processes at organisation level
  • Participating in RBI and/or ReBIT constituted Technical Advisory Groups, Technical Committees etc. as nominated
  • Refining and institutionalising the governance and operating framework for the Project Management Vertical
  • Establishing relevant metrics, and defining clear goals with measurement plan for the various teams
  • Driving organizational change management, training and learning initiatives
  • Leveraging industry best practices for continuous improvement
  • Providing management overview in identifying opportunities for cost savings and innovation at ReBIT
  • Managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders, as per the long-term vision, to effectively run the day-to-day operations
  • Monitoring action plans for identified issues and stakeholder escalations to ensure timeliness of resolution
  • Ensuring relevant forecasts, budgets and utilization for cost and resource management including capacity building by hiring the right skills from the market
  • Providing timely, specific and constructive performance feedback to direct reports
  • Mentoring and developing direct reports to their fullest potential and providing them challenging opportunities that enhance their career growth
  • Performing other duties as assigned or requested by CEO/ReBIT Board


Relevant Project Management / Agile Methodology / Technology / Architecture Certifications will be an added advantage to the qualifications.
